After looking at the Florida Standards on the CPALMS website I chose standard SC.912.TI.1.10. This standard focuses on technology related careers and how this technology can provide new opportunities. This standard gives students the opportunity to look at careers with technology and the skills they need to develop to work in this field. I feel pretty prepared to implement this standard because I have used technology most of the years I have been in school for presentations, assignments, research, brainstorming ideas, etc. I could help my students understand technology better by walking them through a presentation of how to use it in their fields.

One of the resources I found was the CPALMS Educator Toolkit. Toolkit is the lesson plan, it provides activities the align with the Florida Standard. These lesson plans would help me organize my instructions and ways to engage my students when working with different concepts. I could use the tools to create interactive activities, and provide support and extra practice to my students. It would make my planning easier and my kids learning easier as well.

When I looked over the website for the FSU Tech Sandbox I discovered all the tools and resources available to teachers to help making lessons more interactive and engaging. One tool I loved when my teachers use is the interactive smartboard. I remember loving when my teachers would call on students to come to the front and write the answer on it. In my future classroom I could use it to play educational games, practice math problems, and encourage students to work in teams to solve problems.
