In the Padlet post, I gave an example of learning analytics, showing how teachers can use student data to understand learning better and track student progress. Teachers can use information such as quiz scores, assignment completion, and participation to identify areas where students may be struggling or need additional help. Learning analytics also enables teachers to make informed decisions and adjust the instruction to meet the individual needs of students. One limitation is that data doesn’t always provide the whole picture of a student’s understanding or abilities. Some students may not test well but comprehend the material in other ways. As a future teacher, learning analytics could help me track student progress, identify gaps in learning and design lessons that better meet the needs of my student

There are a few different things I look at when I am trying to figure out if information on social media is reliable. Where did the information come from? Is there any proof? Does it seem correct? What is the reason behind the information? I think it is important to check who posted the information and if they have experience or knowledge about the topic. I also check to see whether the information is supported by reliable sources, or whether other reliable sites have similar information. I try not to buy into everything I read on the internet, as it's easy for people to put out their opinions or misinformation as if it were fact. My concept map is my way of thinking, showing how I connect things when I’m deciding if something is trustworthy. This means checking the original source, looking for evidence, comparing information and spotting possible bias. I think it’s important to think critically before sharing or accepting information on social media.

Assignment 4 provided me with new skills in creating informative and visually appealing PowerPoint presentations. I learned more about how to organize information, how to choose graphics, how to use design elements and how to make slides easy for an audience to understand. I liked that this assignment allowed me to be creative and to practice a skill I will be using a lot as a future educator. The only real challenge I had was how much information to put on each slide and not over crowding them. In future I would like to improve my presentations by using more visuals, keeping text short and organized and making sure design is consistent throughout. I feel that I have learned through this assignment how technology can make a more exciting learning experience and how important presentation skills are in the classroom.
